Craniosacral Therapy: Gentle Hands on Healing
Craniosacral Therapy is a light-touch, non-invasive therapy that uses gentle techniques to encourage balance and healing within the body. It is based on the idea that the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord has a rhythm that can be felt throughout the body.
Unlike other therapies, Craniosacral Therapy focuses on the whole person, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances. It can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, stress and tension, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other conditions related to physical or emotional imbalances in the body.
Some benefits of Craniosacral Therapy include:
Promotes relaxation and stress relief
Relieves tension and pain
Improves sleep quality
Boosts immune function
Enhances overall well-being
Craniosacral Therapy is safe and gentle, and can be used by people of all ages, from infants to the elderly. It can be particularly helpful for people with conditions such as migraines, fibromyalgia, TMJ dysfunction, PTSD, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
If you're looking for a holistic approach to healing and well-being, Craniosacral Therapy may be just what you need.

Everybody responds to healing differently. I always encourage you to listen to your body. When you start to feel symptoms again, it’s time to book. Some people need a few sessions (2-9) to get their initial symptoms under control and to a place where they just need maintenance.
This will all depend on your symptoms, the severity of your condition, and your lifestyle.
My goal is always to help you get to a place of maintenance so that the benefits of your sessions last longer. This may include stress coaching, at-home stretches, breathwork, or strategies to reduce overall stress and tension- which typically is the root cause of many chronic conditions. -
During a session, you will lie fully clothed on a massage table while the therapist uses light touch to assess and release restrictions in your craniosacral system. You may experience sensations of deep relaxation or feel subtle movements, heat, or tingling in your body as the therapist works. You may also experience visions of colors or memories, or emotions come up.
I work to create a space for you to completely surrender and relax. If you struggle to get out of your head, I also create custom guided meditations to help you go deeper into relaxation. -
I recommend that you book a full-body 60-minute session. I tailor every appointment to my client’s needs, we may explore more cranial releases during your session, and even intraoral releases as well.
Research has shown that pelvic health can also affect the jaw, and optimal craniosacral rhythm is ultimately the goal for a healthy nervous system. -

“When you released my jaw I couldn’t believe how much it was moving around on its own, with just a light touch! I thought it would be painful, because I hold all my tension there, but I was pleasantly surprised!”
-
“I felt a wave of deep relaxation wash over me, and felt so comforted and safe. I’ve been feeling heavy emotions lately, so this was a nice change.”

Craniosacral therapy is generally considered safe and gentle, with few contraindications. However, there are some situations in which it may not be recommended, including:
Recent head or neck injuries: If you have had a recent injury to your head or neck, craniosacral therapy may not be appropriate until you have fully healed.
Severe or unstable medical conditions: If you have a severe or unstable medical condition, such as a bleeding disorder or unstable blood pressure, craniosacral therapy may not be recommended.
Acute aneurysm: If you have an acute aneurysm, craniosacral therapy should not be performed.
Acute intracranial hemorrhage: If you have an acute intracranial hemorrhage, craniosacral therapy should not be performed.
Recent surgery: If you have had recent surgery, especially involving the head or neck, it may be best to wait until you have fully healed before receiving craniosacral therapy.
It is important to always inform your craniosacral therapist of any medical conditions or concerns you may have before starting a session. They can work with you to determine if craniosacral therapy is appropriate for your specific situation.
